Former Boston Bruins forward Pat Maroon officially retired from professional hockey following the completion of the 2024-25 regular-season. The 37-year-old played his final NHL season with the Chicago Blackhawks, posting five goals, 19 points, 97 penalty minutes, and 102 hits in 68 games.
Maroon was an entertaining player to watch because of his high-energy style of play and toughness, so fans will miss him on the ice. However, he is not staying away from the sport following his retirement, as he has now landed an exciting new gig.
TNT has announced that Maroon will join the NHL on TNT desk on Monday, May 12. Maroon will certainly be busy, too, as two games will be played that night. First, the Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals will play Game 4 of their series. Then, another one of Maroon's former clubs, the Edmonton Oilers, will face off against the Vegas Golden Knights for their Game 4 as well.

He also played in 13 playoff games for the Bruins that year, recording two assists, 18 penalty minutes, and a minus-2 rating.
