Leading up to the Boston Bruins' April 15 matchup against the New Jersey Devils, the Original Six club recalled forward John Farinacci from Providence. With this, the New Jersey native had the chance to make his debut against the Devils, and he certainly took advantage of it.
Late in the second period, Farinacci scored his first career NHL goal, and it was a real beauty. After retrieving Jakub Lauko's rebound in front, Farinacci beat Devils goaltender Jake Allen top shelf with an incredible wrist shot.
This was a fantastic way for Farinacci to make a first impression with the Bruins. He immediately stepped up when given the opportunity with the NHL squad and showed off his potential in the process.
After posting 38 points in 71 games this past season with Providence, Farinacci had nine goals and 37 points in just 57 games this campaign with the AHL squad. The 2019 third-round pick is continuing to trend in the right direction, and this first NHL goal should only create more excitement surrounding the young forward from here.
