    According to PuckPedia, former Boston Bruins forward Joona Koppanen has been placed on waivers by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

    Koppanen, 27, has appeared in 10 games this season with Pittsburgh, where he has one goal, 34 hits, and a minus-3 rating. He has spent most of this season down in the AHL with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, though, posting seven goals, 15 assists, 22 points, and a plus-4 rating in 55 games.

    The Bruins selected Koppanen with the 135th overall pick of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He played in five games for Boston during the 2022-23 season, where he had one assist, two blocks, eight hits, and an even plus/minus rating. 

    Koppanen primarily played AHL Providence with the Bruins organization. In 245 games over six seasons with Providence, the 6-foot-5 forward had 93 points.
