Back during the 2022 NHL off-season, the Boston Bruins acquired Pavel Zacha from the New Jersey Devils. This move, of course, has aged magnificently for Boston, as Zacha has blossomed into a top-six forward and a key piece of the Bruins' lineup.
However, this move has also been good for the Devils, as Erik Haula – the player the Bruins traded to land Zacha – has also found success in New Jersey. He's been a strong part of their top nine since his arrival, which also applies to this season.
Erik HaulaHaula has had a great start with the Devils. In his first four games of the new season, the 5-foot-11 forward has four assists and a plus-1 rating. This includes a three-assist night in the Devils' most recent contest against the Washington Capitals.
Haula showed with the Bruins that he can provide solid secondary offensive production, and that has not changed with the Devils. It will be interesting to see how well he can maintain his hot start to the 2024-25 season from here.
