During this past off-season, the Boston Bruins traded Linus Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators. With the Senators needing serious help between the pipes, acquiring Ullmark from the Bruins was a massive move for them.

Fast-forward to today, and Ullmark has undoubtedly lived up to expectations with the Senators. At the time of this writing, he sports a 16-11-3 record, a .913 save percentage, and a 2.67 goals-against average. His excellent goaltending is certainly a major reason why the Senators currently hold a playoff spot this deep into the season.

However, on March 10 against the Detroit Red Wings, Ullmark had one of the best starts of his NHL career. The 2023 Vezina Trophy winner stopped an incredible 48 out of 49 shots against the Red Wings and secured the Senators two big points because of it. The Senators also had only 23 shots, so Ullmark certainly stole them this game.

Ullmark is an elite goaltender when playing at his best, and he undoubtedly demonstrated this for the Senators against the Red Wings. There is no question that the Bruins have missed Ullmark immensely this season, and this latest performance only shows why even more.
