The Boston Bruins will undoubtedly be a team to watch during training camp. After bringing in several new players this summer, they will have many players fighting for roster spots during the pre-season.
The NHL's official Facebook page recently released its projected top six for the Bruins heading into the 2025-26 season, and it is certainly interesting.
For the Bruins' first line, the NHL's official account has Elias Lindholm as the club's first-line center, with David Pastrnak and Morgan Geekie as his wingers. This is an understandable trio, as Lindholm, Pastrnak, and Geekie played very well together during the final stages of the 2024-25 campaign. Thus, it would make sense if they ended up starting the year with these three as their first line.
As for the Bruins' second line, they have Casey Mittelstadt at center, with Pavel Zacha and newcomer Viktor Arvidsson on the wings. If this is the second line the Bruins go with, they will certainly be hoping that Mittelstadt and Arvidsson can bounce back from their tough 2024-25 campaigns. As for Zacha, his versatility would allow him to be a fit on the wing, but he also could see time on Boston's first line again due to his strong chemistry with Pastrnak.
Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what the Bruins' top six ends up looking like at the start. They have multiple options to consider, and training camp will help determine it. Two other dark-horse candidates for the Bruins' top six heading into next season could be youngsters Matt Poitras and Fraser Minten.
