There is a new update in the Jeremy Swayman contract talks.

Yesterday (Sept. 30), Boston Bruins president Cam Neely insinuated that the club sent a $64 million contract offer to Jeremy Swayman. Swayman's agent, Lewis Gross, later wrote a statement denying that the Bruins ever sent his client an offer that high.
Naturally, this storyline has taken the hockey world by storm, with fans wondering which side is accurate.
NHL insider Frank Seravalli provided some information on the Daily Faceoff Morning Cuppa Coffee podcast about what he has personally heard on the situation:
"To me, this really seems like a tactical error for the Bruins. This felt like a team that was cracking under the weight of probably not having their future No. 1 in net to start the season. There's obviously some frustration. I don't think that they put a $64 million offer on the table. In fact, my understanding is that the Bruins have offered eight years x $7.8 million, which is $62.4 million. So maybe Cam Neely had a little fun with numbers."

If the Bruins' highest offer to Swayman was at $62.4 million, that means that Neely was off with his statement by $1.6 million. This may not necessarily be the most significant difference in the world, but it would still be notable because Neely made the negotiations public.
No matter the case, the Bruins and Swayman still have some serious work to do if they hope to get a new contract done. Time will tell if they can get past the conflict.
