The 2023-24 season was another disappointment for the Buffalo Sabres, as they extended their playoff drought to 13 years. Needless to say, changes are coming this offseason because of it.

Due to this, let's discuss three players the Sabres could trade during the 2024 NHL Offseason.

    Jordan Greenway

One clear Sabres trade candidate heading into the offseason is forward Jordan Greenway. The power forward created a plethora of trade chatter leading up to the deadline, but the Sabres elected to keep him for the rest of the season. However, interest in his services should return once we get to the summer.

The Sabres have several young prospects eyeing spots on the roster, which may make Greenway expendable. In addition, Greenway will be in the final year of his deal in 2024-25, so he could be moved if they do not plan to ink him to an extension.

    Peyton Krebs

Peyton Krebs is an interesting player to watch this offseason. With the Sabres looking to break their playoff drought next season, he may be the young forward they are willing to part ways with in a potential big move.

Krebs, 23, has yet to blossom into the top-six forward the Sabres had hoped he would. The Calgary native has primarily played in their bottom six this season, posting four goals, 17 points, and a plus-3 rating in 78 games. With his low offensive production, Krebs may be a player worth moving if it lands them a high-impact player immediately.

    Henri Jokiharju

Henri Jokiharju is another Sabre to watch this offseason. The 24-year-old defenseman is a pending restricted free agent whom the Sabres could listen to offers for. This is especially so if adding Jokiharju to a trade package helps the Sabres land a proven top-four right-shot defenseman to their roster.

Jokiharju has had an up-and-down season with the Sabres, but there could be interest in him if he's made available. He's a young defender with decent upside, but with the Sabres wanting to better immediately, he could be made expendable for the right price.
