This former Sabre has hit a new scoring milestone.

The Buffalo Sabres' season is over, as they failed to make the playoffs for the 13th year in a row. It was another disappointing campaign for the Sabres, and they should be in for a big offseason because of it.
With the Sabres' season over, now is an excellent time to catch up with some of their former players. Casey Mittelstadt, in particular, had a notable night on Sunday, as he hit a scoring milestone.

In the Colorado Avalanche's 7-6 loss to the Winnipeg Jets, Mittelstadt scored his first career playoff goal in the final minute of Game 1. While the Avalanche were unable to tie it up after it, this is still a significant accomplishment for Mittelstadt.
Mittelstadt spent seven seasons with the Sabres before being dealt to the Avalanche at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. As a result, this was the 25-year-old's first career playoff game, and he made an impact during it with this goal.
After potting his first career playoff goal, Mittelstadt will now look to build on his momentum and help the Avs get back in the series.
