This career year has come at the perfect time for him, as he is a pending UFA. As a result, his big payday is coming, whether that's with the Panthers or another club.
The Panthers will naturally want to keep him around, as he has emerged as an elite forward. However, if they can't get a deal done, he will be among the most popular players available on the market.
