The Sabres would be wise to make a push for this Blue Jackets star.

The Buffalo Sabres should be watched very closely in the trade market this offseason. The Atlantic Division club is looking to take a big step forward and get back into the playoffs for the first time in 13 years. As a result, ugprades to their group are expected.
Improving down the middle is a necessity for the Sabres. One player who should be on their radar this summer because of it is Columbus Blue Jackets captain Boone Jenner.

The Sabres were connected to Jenner leading up to the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline, and it would not be surprising if they kicked tires on him again this summer. He would be an outstanding addition to Buffalo's roster, as he not only produces well offensively but also a well-respected leader who plays strong defensively and provides plenty of grit.
Jenner would work wonderfully as the Sabres' third-line center. However, he also offers excellent versatility, as he can play the wing. As a result, he would be an option for their top six if acquired as well.
Jenner, 30, had a solid regular season with the Blue Jackets, posting 22 goals, 35 points, and 119 hits in 58 games. He was also named to his first career All-Star Game.
