The Sabres should consider targeting these three Golden Knights if they hit the market.

Next up in our Sabres free agent targets series is the Vegas Golden Knights. The Golden Knights have some notable pending UFAs who could be good additions to the Sabres, so let's discuss them now.
The Sabres are expected to add a top-six scoring winger this offseason. They possess this need, and Golden Knights star Jonathan Marchessault is one of the top snipers who can hit the market this summer. As a result, he's a player the Sabres could watch.

Marchessault, 33, had a strong 2023-24 campaign, posting 42 goals - a new career high - and 69 points in 82 games. He is also a proven playoff performer, winning the Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe Award with Vegas in 2023. He's the kind of player a team looking to become competitive like the Sabres need.
The Sabres want to improve their center depth this summer. The Peyton Krebs third-line center experiment did not work out, so one player whom the Sabres should consider making a push for is Chandler Stephenson.

Stephenson, 30, is an effective two-way forward who can play on both special-team units, which could grab Buffalo's attention. He also had another strong season, posting 16 goals and 51 points in 75 games. He has also hit the 60-point mark twice in his career. The Sabres could use this kind of offense.
The Sabres should also look to add to their bottom six this offseason. Because of this, perhaps they should consider the prospect of reuniting with former Sabres forward William Carrier.

The Sabres lost Carrier to the Golden Knights at their expansion draft. Since then, Carrier became a mainstay in the Golden Knights' bottom six for seven seasons. He plays a very physical game and would make Buffalo tougher to go up against because of it.
