The Buffalo Sabres completed the 2024 Prospects Challenge on Tuesday. One Sabres prospect who was simply magnificent during the tournament was Jiri Kulich. He scored an impressive five goals and added two assists.

Now, after his incredible tournament, Kulich is a clear Sabre to watch at training camp. It is apparent that he has a real shot of making the NHL roster, and general manager Kevyn Adams sang his praises because of it.

While speaking to reporters, Adams made it abundantly clear that he was impressed with Kulich's play:

"Well, I thought he dominated. To say it mildly, I thought he was the best player on the ice in the games he played in. You know, I have been telling you for two years that I think this kid is going to be a special player in the NHL. I still do."

    Adams also added:

"He's a young player. He needs to work on certain areas of his game, but what I love about Jiri is he took the feedback and really put the work in the summer... I think if you guys were watching closely, besides the goals. We all know he's got an elite shot, and he can make plays, but the puck battles and the getting to the net and getting under guys' sticks. That's the stuff that he put a lot of work and thought into that."

To conclude, Adams also made it clear that Kulich has a real shot of making the NHL roster out of camp.

"When a player kicks the door open and belongs, we make sure they're here. This is all about winning. So, if we feel right now that he's going to help our team, then he's going to be here. If he's not right in the beginning, it's just a matter of time until he is."

Based on Adams' comments, it is apparent that Kulich has impressed the GM in a big way. With a strong training camp, the 20-year-old could be on the Sabres' opening night roster. It will be fun to see if that does, in fact, come to fruition from here.
