The Sabres should consider making a push for this Flyers forward.
One of the Buffalo Sabres' top objectives this offseason is to improve their depth down the middle. Adding more production to the middle six is an absolute necessity, and the Sabres will browse both the trade market and free agency for centers.
When looking at the Philadelphia Flyers, they have a very interesting trade candidate - Morgan Frost.
Frost, 25, generated plenty of buzz in the rumor mill this past season, but the Flyers elected to hold onto him past the deadline. While this is the case, there is an expectation that the Flyers will listen to offers again for him this offseason.
Frost would be an excellent addition to the Sabres' third line. He would provide them with some much-needed secondary production, as he is an impactful playmaker. In addition, he would give their power play a nice boost.
With the Flyers rebuilding, they would likely want futures in a potential move with the Sabres. A trade for Frost would likely need to start with a second-rounder and mid-tier prospect, as he is a young forward with good upside.
After a tough start to the 2023-24 campaign, Frost finished the season with 13 goals, 41 points, and a plus-4 rating in 71 games. More importantly, he heated up big-time down the stretch, posting 30 points in 44 games after the change to 2024.
