The Sabres should add this Canucks forward to their group.

The Buffalo Sabres are entering the summer expecting to improve their forward group. After missing the playoffs for the 13th year in a row, the Sabres must do what they can to make their roster more competitive.
Adding more scoring to the middle six is a major priority for the Sabres this summer. Because of this, one player who should immediately grab their attention if he hits the market is Vancouver Canucks power forward Dakota Joshua.
Joshua, 28, had a breakout year for the Canucks in 2023-24, as he set new career highs with 18 goals and 32 points in 63 games. However, besides being a difference-maker offensively, he also was highly physical, recording an impressive 245 hits.

The Sabres could use a forward who scores and provides toughness like Joshua in their lineup. All playoff-hopeful teams, like the Sabres, need hard-nosed players like Joshua.
The Sabres have the cap space to get a deal with Joshua done. When noting that he would give their top nine a massive boost, it is an avenue worth considering.
However, given the fact that the 6-foot-3 forward had such a solid season, the Canucks are likely to try to keep him around. If they do not, expect the Sabres to be in the mix for his services.
