Rasmus Dahlin now knows which team he will be playing for at the All-Star Game.

The 2024 All-Star Game festivities started last night with the NHL All-Star Player Draft. Through this first event, we learned what team each player will be playing for. Due to this, the Buffalo Sabres' lone All-Star, Rasmus Dahlin, found his home for the contest.
Dahlin was selected with the 12th overall pick of the NHL All-Star Player Draft by Team McDavid. Before the pick, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl stated that they needed a defenseman. With Morgan Rielly, Quinn Hughes, and Cale Makar all being captains, Dahlin was the lone defenseman available, so McDavid, Draisaitl, and elite actor and podcaster Will Arnett were smart to scoop him up.
Dahlin, 23, is having a strong season offensively for the Sabres, so his All-Star Game selection is entirely justifiable. He has 13 goals, which leads all NHL defensemen, to go along with 38 points in 48 games.

For those wanting to see Dahlin in action, the 2024 NHL All-Star Game will take place on Feb. 3 at 3:00 pm ET. It will be shown on ABC and can also be streamed on ESPN+.
