Struttin’ Stormy takes center stage as the Hurricanes honor Raleigh, the "City of Oaks," with a bold, dark grey alternate sweater featuring local landmarks and state-inspired details.
The Carolina Hurricanes are debuting their new Hometown Remix jerseys tonight as they take on the Chicago Blackhawks.
All 32 NHL teams unveiled new alternate uniforms this month, which are aimed to "uniquely and authentically celebrate the fans, fabric and local culture of each NHL team and the cities they call home."
Carolina's new threads feature the Struttin' Stormy logo as the primary crest, a nod to the college football roots in central NC, and are dark grey, with accents of red and silver.
The jersey also features a shoulder patch inspired by the North Carolina state flag on one side and the state capitol building on the other, oak leaf decals on the sleeve, and on the hemline, a City of Oaks tagline, the Raleigh skyline, an outline of Lenovo Center and a few oak trees as well.
For more details on the uniform check out this article from the team.
