The Carolina Hurricanes have been busy since their first-round series win against the New Jersey Devils, signing forward Taylor Hall and goaltender Frederik Andersen to contract extensions.

With the Hurricanes making moves, let's look at three more players who they could aim to sign to contract extensions next.

    Brent Burns

If Burns wants to continue his playing career next season, the Hurricanes could be open to extending him. The 40-year-old defenseman is still an important part of Carolina's blueline, playing top-pairing minutes and on both their power play and penalty kill.

In 82 games this regular-season for the Hurricanes, he had six goals, 29 points, 98 blocks, and a plus-7 rating. He also has two points in five playoff games for the Hurricanes thus far.

    Eric Robinson

Robinson has been a very good bargain addition for the Hurricanes. After quietly signing a one-year, $950,000 contract with the Hurricanes this past off-season, he set new career highs with 14 goals, 18 assists, 32 points, and a plus-14 rating in 82 regular-season games. He also recorded 123 hits.

Given the solid secondary scoring and grit Robinson has provided since joining the Hurricanes, it would be understandable if they looked to keep him around beyond this season.

    Jack Roslovic

Roslovic is another forward who the Hurricanes could look to extend. He had a solid regular-season for the Hurricanes this campaign, posting 22 goals and 39 points in 81 games. With numbers like these, he gave the Hurricanes good depth scoring.

If Roslovic is willing to stick around at a reasonable price, he would be a solid player for the Hurricanes to keep around for their bottom six.
