The Carolina Hurricanes fell to the Florida Panthers by a 5-3 final score in Game 5. With this, the Hurricanes have been eliminated from the playoffs and have some decisions to make with their roster.

When looking at the Hurricanes' pending free agents, it is likely that a few of them have played their last games in Carolina. Because of this, let's discuss three Hurricanes who likely won't be back next season.

    Dmitry Orlov

With the Hurricanes having young blueliners like Alexander Nikishin and Scott Morrow ready for more significant NHL roles, it seems likely that Carolina will move on from Dmitry Orlov. The Hurricanes have other roster needs to address, so they could very well let the 33-year-old walk.

If Orlov hits the market, there would be interest in him. In 76 regular-season games this season with the Hurricanes, the left-shot blueliner recorded six goals, 28 points, and a plus-16 rating.

    Jack Roslovic

Roslovic is another player who the Hurricanes could move on from this off-season. The 28-year-old forward notably became the odd man out of Carolina's forward group during the playoffs, appearing in nine out of their 15 post-season games. He was also scratched in each of the Hurricanes' final three playoff games against the Panthers, with his last appearance being in Game 2.

In 81 regular-season games this year for the Hurricanes, Roslovic posted 22 goals, 39 points, and a minus-10 rating. Overall, he gave Carolina solid secondary scoring, but it appears likely that they will move on from the Columbus native.

    Tyson Jost

While Brent Burns could also have made sense as the final player on this list, there is still a chance that the 40-year-old could stick around if he wants to continue his career. Because of this, let's go with forward Tyson Jost.

Jost, 27, is a pending UFA who the Hurricanes could very well move on from. The St. Albert, Alberta native served as a depth forward for the Hurricanes this season, posting four goals, five assists, and a plus-2 rating in 39 games. He also had four goals and nine points in 14 AHL games with the Chicago Wolves.

Overall, Jost was fine in his role, but it would not be surprising if the Hurricanes went in a different direction with him.
