“I didn’t like my last game very much.”
Being behind 2-1 in a series is less than ideal, but the Colorado Avalanche find themselves in that situation nonetheless.

Mackenzie Blackwood has been steady for the Avalanche, but he’s going to need run support for the team to beat the Dallas Stars. That’s one area that Avalanche forward Jonathan Drouin feels he can be better in.
Meghan Angley of Guerilla Sports spoke with Drouin at Friday’s practice. One of the topics of conversation was how things are going with the Avalanche powerplay.

“Every time we're getting ready for a game or a series, we know what they're going to do,” Drouin reveals. “We know what's open, we know what's there, but sometimes they're trying to kill their penalty as good as we're trying to score."
As far as getting things back on track, Drouin thinks sticking to the game plan is how the Avalanche climb back into the series.
"Sticking to the game plan is cliche to say,” Drouin said. “The last game you saw right away it was going to be a tight game, but we got to find a way to create offense in the o-zone.”
“Me, especially with our line … got to get going a little bit here and find a way to score."
Offensively, Drouin can contribute more. While two points in three games isn’t anything to be ashamed of, it’s not as impressive as the 37 points in 43 regular season games that he put together this year.
"I didn't like my last game very much,” Drouin stated. “I didn't create anything... The games have been tight. You're trying to be on top of everyone.”
“You try to bounce on your chances around the net when you get some. I feel comfortable, it's just got to be a little better."
