In Detroit's 5-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights, Dylan Larkin and Moritz Seider each achieved career milestones
During the Detroit Red Wings' 5-2 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights Saturday, both Dylan Larkin and Moritz Seider each reached career milestones.
Barely more than five minutes into the first period, Larkin scored the game's first goal, capping off a perfectly worked Detroit counter attack by burying an Alex DeBrincat feed in the slot.
The goal extended Larkin's present point streak to 11 games, but it also represented the 200th goal of his career. In reaching that plateau, Larkin became the 16th Red Wing and 10th Michigan-born player to score 200.
Meanwhile, by the end of the first period, Moritz Seider would hit a milestone of his own. Seider picked up a secondary assist on Jake Walman's goal that made it 2-0 Detroit (his 19th of the season and the 99th of his career), before picking up another helper on the Joe Veleno power play goal that made it 3-2 Red Wings late in the period, bringing his career total to 100.
Seider—who achieved that mark in his 213th NHL game) became the third fastest Red Wing defenseman ever to 100 assists, trailing only Reed Larson (who did it in 185 games) and Nicklas Lidstrom (who took 194 games).
