Connor McDavid believes his teammate's play this season speaks for itself.

EDMONTON -- Last year, Zach Hyman set a career high for goals, assists and points.
He's poised to break at least one of those personal records this year. Hyman has been one of the most consistent producers for the Edmonton Oilers this season.

In 66 games this season Hyman hasn't gone more than three games without a goal - which has happened twice. He hasn't gone more than two games without a goal since November 20th.
He currently has 48 goals - 12 more than his previous career high. Including tonight, there are still 15 games remaining this season.

Tonight, the Oilers play the Toronto Maple Leafs - Hyman's old team. It would be quite the story if he was able to hit the 50-goal mark for the first time in his career, against his old squad.
While that was something McDavid was asked by the media present at the Oilers practice about Hyman. He was asked if he should bring up Hyman's name to whoever is putting together Team Canada for the Four Nations Tournament.

"I don't need to bring up his name, his play has probably put him on the radar...it's still a long ways away."
Hyman is currently tied for second in the NHL in goals scored, alongside Florida Panthers forward Sam Reinhart. McDavid certainly has a point - someone who's scored that much in a season should naturally merit consideration for an opportunity at playing internationally.
