EDMONTON -- Game five tonight is massively important.

The Edmonton Oilers look to continue the huge momentum they gained from last game - into tonight's matchup against the Vancouver Canucks. The Oilers are 8-0 when they win Game five to go up 3-2 in a series.

At this morning's skate Leon Draisaitl, Evander Kane and Mattias Ekholm were not present. It's expected that they missed skate due to maintenance and not injury.

Based on that, the lineup should be the same as last game.

Now the million dollar question is, who will be the starting goalie for the Oilers? Stuart Skinner has the ability to bounce back - yet Pickard won the last game. Faced with this, the Oilers have made a decision.

Pickard will get the nod for Game five.

This is the right move for the Oilers. At this point in time, the Oilers should ride the hot hand - at least until the end of the series.

That should not take away what Skinner was able to accomplish during the regular season - if it wasn't for him the Oilers certainly wouldn't be in the playoffs.

Game time is scheduled for 8 PM mountain time tonight.
