Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports - Oilers Tip Their Hand About Draisaitl

EDMONTON -- After what certainly feels like forever, Game two is on tonight.

The Edmonton Oilers will look to rebound after a third period collapse to the Vancouver Canucks in Game one. Although the end result wasn't what they wanted - they avoided the worst case scenario.

Leon Draisaitl missed some time during the second period but returned to begin the third period. While he didn't seem completely like himself after he returned - he didn't look like how he did when he played injured two post seasons ago.

Not losing Draisaitl is a huge win for the Oilers in the long run. His impact on the team cannot be overstated.

The whole situation is a tad.... strange. The Oilers appear to contradict themselves by claiming he is "day-to-day" and a "gametime decision" yet he is made available to the media to speak to.

That leads me to believe he will be in the lineup tonight. A few other media members agree with me.

This could be an attempt to play some kind of elaborate chess match with Rick Tocchet - but the full media availability may have tipped the Oilers hand, perhaps a little more than they wanted.
