Another Oiler is tying the knot, as Evander Kane proposes to his longtime partner in loving Instagram post.
With training camp right around the corner, one Oiler will head into the season with something to cheer about.
Oilers forward Evander Kane announced his engagement to model Mara Teigen on Instagram today. The couple has two children together, along with another from Kane's previous marriage.
This adds to a busy summer in the personal lives of Oilers players. Of course, Connor McDavid got married earlier this month. Earlier in the summer, Leon Draisaitl proposed to his longtime girlfriend Celeste Desjardins.
Forward James Hamblin also got engaged this summer, while goalie Stuart Skinner announced that his family is expecting a second child.

Kane, 33, is coming off a trying third season in Edmonton. He scored 20 goals and 44 points in 77 games with the Oilers, and notched another eight points in the playoffs. He missed five games during the Stanley Cup Final with a sports hernia that he had been trying to play through. He is not expected to be ready for the start of the season.
Kane's engagement is a welcome piece of happy news. Apart from his recovery, he was the victim of shocking racial discrimination in an incident he revealed on his Instagram story on August 29th.
One hopes that his engagement to his longtime partner is only the beginning of a successful 2024-25 season for Kane, his family, and the Oilers.
