Evander Kane breaks his unlucky streak.

EDMONTON -- Tonight is the night for milestones, apparently.
The Edmonton Oilers are winning against the Colorado Avalanche 4-2 heading into the third period. The most important goal of the period didn't come from Mattias Ekholm - it came from Evander Kane.
Kane was on a 21-game goal-less streak heading into tonight's contest. Good things happen when you crash the net - and Kane did just that.
Props to Ryan McLeod for the heads up play of throwing the puck on net to generate the rebound - that then careened into the net off of Kane.

So far Kane has played 8:56 tonight - skating on a line with Corey Perry and McLeod.
In his last 10 games he only had two assists. His 21 games without a goal was the worst score-less streak of his career.
Perhaps now, the floodgates are now opened.
