EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers are in Nevada today to play the Vegas Golden Knights. They have a win streak on the line and you better believe that the Golden Knights are up to the task of ending that run.

While that is happening on this side of the Atlantic, other things are brewing overseas. Namely, Zack Kassian is finding his footing playing in the Czech Extraliga for HC Sparta Praha.

He has played two games so far for his new team. While he hasn't scored any points so far in this new chapter of his career, he has drawn the attention of an overseas fan.

In an effort to hype up the crowd one member did his best to get the crowd into the game. It just so happened that this fan had an Oilers jersey on - with #44 and Kassian's name plate on the back of it.

It turns out this fan has been doing this for many years - and for many, many teams. Cameron "Cheers" Hughes can mostly be found at Ottawa Senators games, but he caught a red eye flight to Europe to catch the beginning of Kassian's overseas hockey career.

Hughes has a book out - King of Cheer - as well as a Ted Talk. Check it out below:
