Pat Maroon is getting traded to an Eastern Conference contender.
EDMONTON -- The news just keeps coming.
The Edmonton Oilers have potentially missed out on Jordan Eberle - as he has just signed a contract extension with the Seattle Kraken. At the point of this writing the Oilers have acquired Adam Henrique, Sam Carrick and Troy Stecher - without removing anyone from the current lineup.

While adding a versatile top nine forward, bottom six forward and defenseman are not a bad trade deadline - some find the results underwhelming.
Elsewhere in the NHL, other teams are loading up more players. One former Oilers forward is on the move - to an Eastern Conference contender.
According to Michael Russo of The Athletic, Pat Maroon is on his way from the Minnesota Wild to the Boston Bruins. At this point in time the return looks to be a conditional late-round draft pick.
The Bruins just got meaner - as Maroon hasn't showed any signs of slowing down his fighting ways. He has only played 49 games this season due to injury. However, in those games he has six fights.

He's far from his last year total of 12 fights - he's well on his way.
It's safe to say that the Bruins just got meaner today.
