EDMONTON -- The NHL is becoming a league dominated by skill.
Connor McDavid is one of the most skilled players to ever live. The Edmonton Oilers captain can do things with the puck at high speeds that no one else in the league can do.

Last night, Kirill Marchenko pulled off a highly skilled move. Some would argue that it's incredibly lucky to pull off a shot like that. However, it's not the first time a player in the National Hockey League has banked in a shot off of a goalie's mask and into the back of the net.

McDavid pulled off this exactly move last year - against the Arizona Coyotes. Watch the replay in the YouTube video below.

Marchenko finished last night's game with a goal, an assist, six shots and a single hit in 18:25 of ice time. The Blue Jackets lost to the New York Islanders by a 4-2 final score. Marchenko was named the game's second star.
Is Marchenko as skilled as McDavid? The easy answer is no, but he certainly proved last night that he should be at least in the conversation for most skilled on the Blue Jackets team.
