A new jersey for the Edmonton Oilers is being revealed later this month.

EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers jerseys are iconic.

While they have gone through different iterations through the life of the organization, there are some that have stood the test of time. The bright orange and blue colors that the team presently wears has been a classic that was brought back several years ago.
But some alternate jerseys have been favorites of different people - while others have not. The Oilers are going to be discontinuing the use of the Navy Alternates after this season. In it's stead, there looks to be a new jersey coming out soon.
On April 9th the Oilers will be revealing a new jersey. From the images available right now, it's tough to tell if this is one jersey or two. Either way, the blue in both images looks to be the same, so it could be the same jersey.
From a casual glance it looks like it could be a combination of the MacFarland Oil Drop jersey's and the copper and blue jerseys of the early 2000's. Here's another image that was posted to Instagram.
It's too early for me to have strong feelings one way or another about these - without seeing the full kit. April 9th is only four days away so Oilers fans won't have a long time to wait to see what is in store.
