As per Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch, Leon Draisaitl has a lower-body injury. Draisaitl was at the doctor's this morning while the team skated, so there isn't a definitive timeline on how long he might be out.
While it's only speculation at this point, one source wondered if the right hip pointer was injured when Draisaitl was hit by the boards. The good news is that, if so, pain is the main issue, and this could be likely day-to-day.
The injury came from an Ozzy Wiesblatt hit early in the first period of Sunday night's win over the Nashville Predators. The hit knocked Draisaitl out of the game.
Draisaitl skated one more time at the end of the first, but was not on the bench to start the second, and didn't play the rest of the game.
Kris Knoblauch had no update on his status after the game, saying he didn't think it would be a "really long" injury. It doesn't sound like much more is known on Monday morning.
Leon Draisaitl will likely miss some time for the Oilers Photo by:

The third line of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Jason Dickinson, and Jack Roslovic looked good, and ideally, those three would get more time together. It does appear as though Nugent-Hopkins will be elevated to the second-line center role.
