EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers are gearing up for their next opponent.

They dispatched the Los Angeles Kings in five games - and will play the Vancouver Canucks - who took care of the Nashville Predators in six games. That series concluded last night with a 1-0 victory.
The Oilers last played on Wednesday - and won't likely start their new series until Tuesday. Today they have a second straight practice day after taking Thursday off. With Games one and two being played in Vancouver, it's likely that the Oilers travel west tomorrow or Monday.
With that being said, the Oilers added several players to their roster from their AHL squad - the Bakersfield Condors. Lane Pederson, Adam Erne, Raphael Lavoie, Cam Dineen, Ben Gleason, Phil Kemp and Olivier Rodrigue.
This is not uncommon in the playoffs. Especially with the Condors out of the AHL playoffs, recalling this many players does not negatively impact the Condors.

Of note, Rodrigue had himself quite the season. He played in 37 games this season, posting a 19-12-5 record to go along with a 2.73 goals against average (GAA) and a .916 save percentage (SV%).
Hopefully the Oilers don't need to rely on any of these players - but if they do, they are all capable of filling in very specific roles when called upon.
