EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers lost to the St. Louis Blues last night by a 6-3 score. Jordan Binnington stood tall and was the difference maker in the contest.

It wasn't all bad for the Oilers. They generated 38 shots on net - which is not a daily occurrence for them. Corey Perry scored his first goal in an Oilers uniform.

Towards the end of the game, the line of Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Perry was formed. They ended up giving the team a much needed boost - even if it wasn't enough to win the game.

Now, the day after the game we get a practice update on the line combinations for the forwards.

Tomorrow the Oilers will play the Dallas Stars in an afternoon game. It will be interesting to see how long they roll out these lines for.
