Last night was the first game of the Stanley Cup playoffs for the Edmonton Oilers against their first round opponent - the Los Angeles Kings.
Before the game even began - the crowd was absolutely electric. The cheers were incredible, even when it was just for the starting lineup.
There was a lot of incredible moments where the crowd came alive. Chief among them was the singing of the Canadian National Anthem.
Oilers fans always come through with the anthems for games. In years past they have had equally rousing renditions of the anthem.
Additionally, Cam Talbot found himself playing in his first playoff game against the Oilers since leaving the team. He had six goals scored on him on 44 total shots. All night the crowd was chanting his name - none louder than on Zach Hyman's hat trick goal.
They won the game 7-4 by the time the final buzzer rang. Game two will start on Wednesday at an 8:00 PM start once again.
