Edmonton Oilers fans may know what to expect out of the next contracts for Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway.

At least that's what Edmonton Oilers' announcer and insider Bob Stauffer likes to say on his radio show, Oilers Now. Stauffer opened up his show on Friday July 12 talking about the upcoming contract extensions of Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway.
Stauffer said this on his show, "I don't see anything imminent out there at this time regarding Philip Broberg, and for that matter Dylan Holloway." RFA contract negotiations can take a while to pan out. Especially with a team like the Oilers, who are also trying to get cap compliant by opening day.

The host of Oilers Now also gave his thoughts on what those deals could look like, "from an Edmonton perspective, ideally you try to get those players both on a two-year low $1's."
Stauffer drew some comparisons to contracts that were signed by the Vancouver Canucks, "there's some similar numbers with some of the guys from Vancouver, Hoglander and Podkolzin that might make sense."

As for a timeline, Oilers fans might need to be patient, "I see these getting done at some point during August."
There is nothing about these negotiations that need to have Oilers' fans concerned. Both sides need to come to an agreement that is mutually beneficial. That requires communication and compromise from both parties.

Either way, this will be a storyline to follow in the coming days and weeks.
