The Toronto Blue Jays have at least one Edmonton Oilers player keeping tabs on them.

EDMONTON -- The playoffs are just around the corner.
For the Edmonton Oilers and Leon Draisaitl, right now is about ramping up for the post season. For the Toronto Blue Jays however - it's about getting started.

Today is the opening day for the Blue Jays regular season. If you think the 82-game schedule of the NHL is too long, you must not watch much baseball.
The MLB schedule requires every team to play a whooping 162 games - almost double the length of an NHL season.

Draisaitl spoke to the media ahead of the Oilers game against the Los Angeles Kings tonight. In his availability he was asked about the Blue Jays season opener - while sporting a Blue Jays baseball cap - and what impresses him the most about athletes who play baseball, "all of it."

He starts to list off specific aspects he admires and appreciates, "the attention to detail, how much work they put into perfecting whatever position they are in. But that's any sport in the world at a high level - it's unique in it's own way. At that level it's extremely hard to do. It's always fun to watch."
At the time of this writing, the Blue Jays game is already underway. They are currently in the top of the 2nd inning against the Tampa Bay Rays and are down 1-0.
