

Former Edmonton Oilers prospect Tyler Benson has found his new home, signing a one-year, American Hockey League (AHL) deal with the Henderson Silver Knights.

Benson, 25, was selected by the Oilers with the 32nd overall pick of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. There was some expectation that he would blossom into a high-impact forward at the NHL level. However, the Edmonton native was never able to cement a permanent spot in the Oilers' lineup.
