The Philadelphia Flyers could accommodate the Edmonton Oilers.
EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers are keen to get back into the win column tonight as they take on the Anaheim Ducks. This will be the first match up between the two teams with Corey Perry in the fold of the Oilers.

As these teams play tonight, there may be negotiations going on behind the scenes regarding trades on the horizon.
There have been reports over the last few days of the Oilers engaging in talks with the Philadelphia Flyers. This makes sense given where both teams are in the standings. While the Flyers won't sell off everyone, with the addition of Jamie Drysdale the writing is on the wall for Sean Walker.

As far as where the Flyers, Oilers and Walker all stand, David Pagnotta had this to say in his latest for The Fourth Period: "They like Walker, and the Flyers are not only willing to retain part of his contract, but they are also willing to take on a salary if incentivized to do so. Jack Campbell, anyone?"
It is not a secret that the Oilers are looking at improving their defense. Truth be told, they are looking to improve in every position (except maybe goaltending).

This is all about the assets that the Oilers have and if they are enticing enough to acquire a defenseman like Walker from the Flyers. They certainly have the pieces. But do the Oilers prioritize defense over forwards? We'll found out over the next month.
