EDMONTON -- In case you live under a rock, Connor McDavid is really good at hockey. Like, really, really good.

Last night the Edmonton Oilers fed the San Jose Sharks their lunch money - to the tune of a 9-2 victory. It could have been a lot worse, but the Oilers took their foot completely off of the gas in the third period. They fired 27 shots in the first two periods - while the Sharks only mustered 11.
The Oilers would end up winning the shot clock 39-21.
Only one penalty was called the entire game - and it was against the Oilers. All nine of the goals the Oilers scored were at even strength.
Nine different players collected two or more points - including McDavid scoring his 32nd goal of the season to go along with his historic 100th assist.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was not one of these players. He ended the night with a single assist - which came on Warren Foegele's second goal of the night.
With that assist Nugent-Hopkins is sitting at 699 career points - one point away from 700. Of all the night's to only register one point, somehow he drew the short end of the stick in that regard.
He'll get another crack at it tomorrow night, when the Oilers take on the Arizona Coyotes for the final time ever.
