Edmonton Oilers have a really good idea of who their playoff opponent will be.

EDMONTON -- Edmonton Oilers didn't find what they were looking for.

The Oilers dropped last night's game to the Vancouver Canucks by a 3-1 final score. Evander Kane scored the lone goal - a deflection off of a Darnell Nurse point shot.
Stuart Skinner did everything that he could to try and keep the Oilers in the hockey game. He stopped 24 of 26 shots that went his way - with the third Canucks goal being of the empty net variety.

The playoff match ups seem all but certain now. Most teams have two or three games remaining. Vegas Golden Knights have three games, the Canucks have two, and the Los Angeles Kings have two.
The Nashville Predators only have one game and can't overtake the Colorado Avalanche. The most interesting thing that could happen revolves around the Golden Knights.

With three games left they could earn another six points - and they only need three more to match the 97 points that the Kings presently have. It may not be likely, as the Kings have a favorable schedule (Minnesota Wild & Chicago Blackhawks) for their last two games of the regular season.
The Oilers playoff opponent seems all but decided.
