Streaming Options

( < 50% rostered on Yahoo, ranked by matchup)

Nico Daws, NJ at WSH (20% rostered)

The Devils offense looks like it's humming again, which is a really good sign because that's their bread and butter. Daws is coming off two days' rest and should get his fifth straight start. He's been excellent, with at least a .931 SP in his past four starts and I suspect he'll be very good again against an offense that has sputtered for most of the season.

Laurent Brossoit, WPG vs. MIN (14% rostered)

The Jets' 6-3 loss to the Flames, the lack of action for Brossoit and the Wild's 10-goal barrage against the Canucks gives me a lot of pause. Sure, the Jets have two won straight at home, but their normally stalwart defense has stalled a bit. Both teams are playing the second half of a back-to-back, and I fear that it'll be a sluggish effort on both sides, making it a little harder to predict what will happen. The Jets have won three straight against the Wild and I'm not convinced that streak will continue.

(NEW) Alex Nedeljkovic, PIT vs. NYI (15% rostered)

While Nedeljkovic was very strong in his previous start allowing just one goal on 28 shots, keep in mind it was against the Blackhawks. He's generally been pretty good this season, but I'd shy away from this matchup because Pens-Isles games tend to be high-scoring affairs. It's tough to predict what will happen in a volatile and bitter (and underrated) rivalry, and given the Isles' improved offense this season, I'm not fond of Nedeljkovic as a streaming option. I think a win is possible while a good save percentage is unlikely.

Elvis Merzlikins, CLB at LA (22% rostered)

The Jackets are playing back-to-back Tuesday and Wednesday, so Merzlikins will start at least one of those games. The Kings have won five of their past six but they haven't been particularly good at home (9-9-6) and the Jackets aren't too bad on the road, earning at least a point in 14 of their 26 road games (8-12-6). Maybe the Jackets keep it close, but I feel like that might be the best-case scenario here. Of course, there's always a chance for an upset, but the two teams are trending in opposite directions and Merzlikins' play hasn't been strong enough to make me think he can steal this one.

Scott Wedgewood, DAL at NYR (12% rostered)

The Stars have lost two in a row and playing their third game in four nights, so excuse me if I'm a little skeptical about them. The Rangers, meanwhile, have rattled off seven straight wins, including an emotional comeback win at the Stadium Series. Wedgewood has not been particularly sharp as of late, allowing eight goals on 59 shots (.864 SP) in his past two starts.
