Alex Lyon, DET at MTL (25% rostered)

If you haven’t already, Lyon should be rostered. At least, until his hot run ends. He’s allowed just two goals in his past three starts, including two consecutive impressive performances with at least 34 saves. The Habs don’t have the offense or goaltending to match the Wings, and captain Dylan Larkin is expected to play.

Connor Ingram, STL vs. ARI (45% rostered)

Ingram will soon “graduate” from this list once he’s rostered in over half of Yahoo leagues. If he starts, this will be Ingram’s sixth straight start and have a chance to extend his winning streak to four games after defeating the three most recent champions – Vegas, Tampa and Colorado – and allowing four goals with a .958 SP.

Jonathan Quick, NYR at NSH (44% rostered)

Quick has really become popular in fantasy even as a backup because he’s been so good. He’s won six out of his seven starts with a .930 SP, though he’s also been getting good goal support because he’s won four straight starts in spite of the fact that he’s allowed at least three goals in three of those games. The Preds are a tough matchup while they’re on a roll with six wins in seven games, and they’ve won four of the past six meetings with the Rangers. Still, the Rangers should have the edge in this one and I think it might be an costly win for Quick; don’t expect a low goals against or high save percentage.

Joey Daccord, SEA at OTT (5% rostered)

With Philipp Grubauer losing two straight, the Kraken will likely go back to Joey Daccord against a Sens team that is playing the second game of a back-to-back. The Sens are mentally fragile and the Kraken should take advantage; the Sens blew a 2-0 lead against the Jackets on Friday and have now lost three straight. The Kraken are without top left winger Jaden Schwartz but they have enough scoring depth to provide enough goal support for the win.

Charlie Lindgren, WSH at VEG (24% rostered)

The Caps seem to be working a rotation right now and it’s Lindgren’s turn. He was excellent against the Kings with one goal allowed on 39 shots in a game the Caps were lucky to get two points. The Knights pose yet another big challenge for Lindgren, but so far this season, he’s been up to the challenge every time. I go into this matchup with some trepidation, but pretty confident that Lindgren can at least get me a solid save percentage.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, BUF at CAR (40% rostered)

With a weekend back-to-back, Luukkonen and Eric Comrie will split the starts. As underwhelming as the Canes have been – their goaltending has been especially spotty – I don’t like this matchup for the Sabres. They’re not good defensively, which means they’ll get buried in shots. Their only salvation is if Antti Raanta or Pyotr Kochetkov have those .850 SP games that’s been far too common this season. If anything, Luukkonen (or Comrie) should rack up plenty of saves.

Arvid Soderblom, CHI at WPG (2% rostered)

With the Hawks playing back-to-back over the weekend, Soderblom draws the first start and it’s inadvisable unless you’re really out of options. Soderblom has won just twice in nine starts this season, allowed four goals on just 28 shots in his most recent start. Even the Jets have lost three straight, a home date against a lottery-bound opponent is a good chance to snap that streak, and top-six forward Gabe Vilardi is also back in the lineup.
