Charlie Lindgren, WSH vs. NYI (38% rostered)

The shine on Lindgren has faded a little bit, winning just once in his past five starts and allowing at least three goals in all four losses. The Isles can score and the Caps can't, and that's the big issue here. A few things work in the Caps' favor, however; they're coming off two days' rest and 8-4-2 at home, and the Isles are playing the second half of a back-to-back with travel.

Editor's note: Darcy Kuemper will get the start, leaving Lindgren to face the Jackets on Thursday. Kuemper will be going for his third straight win and he's sporting a .952 SP over his past two starts.

Semyon Varlamov, NYI at WSH (40% rostered)

So many factors work against the Isles in this matchup — fatigue and travel, mostly — and they've split the past eight games. The Isles may be able to provide better goal support, and this game might be a coin flip, but the Caps should have the advantage. Varlamov has allowed at least three goals in eight straight games.

Laurent Brossoit, WPG vs. DET (5% rostered)

This matchup can be terrifying because both teams have such good players on offense. The Wings are reeling; they've lost six of their past seven and Brossoit has been excellent in his past two starts. He also sports a career 3-1-0 record with a .935 SP and 1.79 GAA against the Wings, so past history is also on Brossoit's side.

    James Reimer

James Reimer, DET at WPG (9% rostered)

It's Reimer's net now with Ville Husso out week-to-week and Alex Lyon expected to be out until after the break. Reimer's last start on Dec. 11 didn't go so well; he allowed five goals on 34 shots in a 6-3 loss to the Stars, and that was after he basically sat out for a month following a loss to the Sens on Nov. 16 before Lyon went on his hot streak. Maybe more playing time will help Reimer get back into the swing of things, but his play has been very subpar lately.

Joey Daccord, SEA at LA (23% rostered)

The Kings played Tuesday night but with only 16 shots allowed it wasn't exactly a tough matchup. Daccord will get a little extra help with top goal scorer Jared McCann expected to be back in the lineup, but the Kraken are definitely the underdogs here. With the Caps-Isles and Wings-Jets matchups, at least they're more likely to be coin flips.
