Jason Chen and Michael Amato talk about whether or not blocking, which is when you pick up a player so your opponent can't, is good fantasy hockey etiquette; teams to take note of in the second half; and what to do with Alex Ovechkin and Timo Meier in fantasy hockey.
In the 19th episode of the THN Sleepers and Keepers fantasy hockey podcast, Michael Amato ponders if blocking is taboo when it comes to fantasy hockey etiquette. Once in a while, in a head-to-head matchup, an opposing manager may pick up a player or a goalie so a rival manager cannot do so and gain an edge in a closely contested category.
For Jason Chen, if the system allows it, then it's fair game, but there's also an opportunity cost for rostering a player you do not have the intention of starting.
