Panthers aim to sustain momentum on a tough road swing, starting with a battle against the Utah Mammoth.

The Florida Panthers are back on the road.

It’s been over a month since the Panthers last went on an extended road trip, and this one should be a doozie.

The fun all starts on Wednesday night when the Cats head to Salt Lake City for a matchup with the Utah Mammoth.

Florida arrives in Utah fresh off a pair of home victories that came on back-to-back days last weekend.

After dropping four straight games, and five in a row on home ice, the Panthers picked up hard-earned wins over the Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Islanders to improve their record to 14-12-2.

Now the hope is that the Cats will be able to stay on that wave of momentum when they face off against the Mammoth.

Florida went 2-0-0 against Utah during their inaugural season, but this year’s team looks to be much improved on last year’s nameless squad.

Currently, the Mammoth hold the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.

Overall Utah has been much better at Delta Center than on the road, but they have lost each of their past two on home ice and overall have just two wins over their past eight games.

The Panthers are expected to roll with Sergei Bobrovsky in goal on Wednesday night, with Daniil Tarasov slated to take the crease for Thursday’s matchup with the Colorado Avalanche.

Bobrovsky had lost four straight starts before picking up a win against Columbus over the weekend, though it wasn’t exactly pretty as he did allow six goals on 31 shots.

Over those past five starts, Bob has 1-3-1 record to go with a 4.15 goals against average and .848 save percentage.

It hasn’t been all bad for Bob this season.

He’s still picked up 11 wins and has a pair of shutouts on the young season, so Wednesday could be a good spot to turn things back in his favor.

Here are the Panthers projected lines and pairings for Wednesday’s meeting with the Mammoth:

Eetu Luostarinen – Anton Lundell – Sam Reinhart

Carter Verhaeghe – Sam Bennett – Brad Marchand

Mackie Samoskevich – Evan Rodrigues – A.J. Greer

Noah Gregor – Jack Stucnicka – Jesper Boqvist

    Gus Forsling – Aaron Ekblad

    Niko Mikkola – Seth Jones

    Uvis Balinskis – Jeff Petry
