The Minnesota Wild (12-3-3) are in action tonight against the Edmonton Oilers (10-8-2) on the road. The Wild are 7-2-1 in their last ten games and are coming off a win. The Oilers are 6-3-1 in their last ten and are coming off a win as well.
Minnesota has faired well against Edmonton in its history. The Wild are 62-31-10 all-time against the Oilers and are 29-16-7 against the Oilers in Edmonton.
The Wild's 29 all-time road wins against the Oilers are the most against any team. They are 8-2-0 against Edmonton in the last ten games and 34-11-1 dating back to the 2010-11 season.
Their .750 points percentage vs Edmonton is the second-best in the NHL in that span. This is largely because of who the Wild have been able to match up against Edmonton's elite talent like Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.
Jonas Brodin and Jared Spurgeon will be a d-pair again tonight and will likely be put out on the ice as much as possible against Edmonton's top line. But, the Oilers do have the last change.
Marc-Andre Fleury will start tonight for Minnesota after Filip Gustavsson started the last five games. Devin Shore will also play tonight and make his Wild debut.
Here are tonight's projected lines (subject to change).
