October 10th marks the first game of the season for the Minnesota Wild which also is the home opener. Just 52 days away from Wild hockey. Only one player in Wild history has worn number 52 and that was Connor Dewar

Dewar, 25, had ten goals and 14 points in 57 games for the Wild last season. He was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs at the deadline in March by the Wild. At the time of the trade, Dewar had more goals than Marcus Johansson. They finished the season with the same, 11.

In his time with the Wild, Dewar recorded 18 goals, 20 assists, 38 points, and 266 hits in 173 games. He recorded one goal and five points in 17 games with the Leafs following the trade.

The former 92nd overall pick from the 2018 NHL Draft, signed a one-year deal with the Maple Leafs earlier this offseason to avoid arbitration.

In 190 career regular season NHL games, Dewar has recorded 19 goals, 24 assists, 43 points, and 295 hits split between both Minnesota and Toronto. He has one assist in 13 career playoff games as well.
