Minnesota Wild defenseman Brock Faber received a second-place vote for the Lady Byng Trophy. Faber wasn't the only Wild player to have received some votes for the trophy.

The Lady Byng trophy is awarded to the player adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability.

This year's recipient of the trophy was Carolina Hurricanes' defenseman Jaccob Slavin. It is his second time in his three years named as a finalist, after finishing first in voting in 2020-21 and second in 2021-22.

Faber, 21, finished his rookie season with eight goals, 39 assists, 47 points, and 26 penalty minutes in 82 games for the Wild. He was named a finalist for the 2024 Calder Trophy which is given to the NHL Rookie of the Year.

He led all first-year players in average (24:58) and total (2,047:53) time on ice.
