The Seattle Kraken announced a coaching change a week ago. Former New York Islanders head coach Lane Lambert has taken the head coaching job in Seattle.

As many head coaches do, Lambert is evaluating the rest of the coaching staff and wants to bring in his own guys. So, Bob Woods has been relieved of his duties as an assistant coach after just one season with the Kraken.

Woods has hired before the 2024-25 season as an assistant coach for the Kraken. Dan Bylsma was promoted from the AHL to the NHL as the Kraken's head coach and brought in Woods to be the assistant.
