Former Wild defenseman Dmitry Kulikov has advanced to the Stanely Cup Final with the Florida Panthers.
Kulikov, 33, was originally drafted by the Panthers in 2009. He played the first six years of his career in Florida before going to Buffalo where he only played 47 games. He then played three years with the Winnipeg Jets.
The 6-foot-1 defenseman played 80 regular season games with the Wild in 2021-22 after he spent the last year playing for both the New Jersey Devils and Edmonton Oilers. He was eventually traded to the Anaheim Ducks from the Wild after the season for future considerations.
That year he played 61 games for the Ducks and was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins later in the season. Kulikov signed with the Panthers in the offseason. He's on his sixth team in the last four years.
Kulikov recorded seven goals, 17 assists, and 24 points in 80 games for the Wild. He was a plus-23 as well. But after a rough playoffs with the Wild, Kulikov was traded for nothing during the offseason. He was a minus-4 in two playoff games with Minnesota.
Now with the Panthers, Kulikov had one goal and 20 points in 76 regular season games for the Panthers. He was a plus-15. So far in the playoffs, Kulikov has played in 17 games and has no points. He is a minus-1.
